A car
Go by mileage, and not time.

Manual says 20k or 2 years not 10k.

I've had to replace them sooner than specified intervals because apparently the air quality where I live is absolutely horrible. I usually change them every 20-25,000km. I did a modification which leaves air on recirculate permanently when pressed, which helps a lot (when it's above 5c otherwise the windows can fog sometimes)

Did you ever figure out the close all windows when air recirculate is held?

Yup! I forgot if you asked

TUNNELFUNKTION_AKTIV needs to be enabled in HVAC_204. I think that's all that needs to be done

Thats true, I'm kinda surprised though since most other manufacturers have it replace every 10K miles/1 year. The filter must be pretty filthy after 20K miles/2 years. Especially if you live in an area with poor air quality or a lot of dust/pollen. It's a pretty inexpensive thing to replace, and quite easy to change yourself.

What manufacturer is that? On my wife's car (Lexus), and on my previous car (Acura), the interval to change the cabin air filter is 30k miles. Not once have I heard a 10k mile change.

I change mine once a year whether it needs it or not.

It is dusty here and filters are cheap.

Every 10k is extremely excessive...

Mine lasted well into 30k before it was borderline necessary to change.
