I've read that the brake pads on the C-Class are too small for the rotors...

I've read that the brake pads on the C-Class are too small for the rotors...

is this still an issue with a 2014 model? (the website only mentioned 2010-2012)
Its my understanding that the brake pads leave a lip on the edge of the rotors so you basically can't just change the brake pads, you have to change the rotors as well.

every disc on every car there will be a lip when its worn down.

no more special than any other car; usually 2 brake pads to 1 rotor replacement

Yes, false.

I will say that the lipping issue is more prevalent on the front brakes of the W204 than some other cars mainly becaues I don't see cross drilled rotors on the front of many mainstream passenger cars in that price range. Because they are cross drilled you can't resurface them, so that is a bit of a $ drag.
