Ripped intake hose

My intake hose (marked in picture with red arrow) is ripped and I ordered a new hose. I know how to remove the flat panel that sits on top of the front grill and how to detach the tube from this panel, but I don't know how this tube detaches from the airbox.

Does it just pull out from the airbox? I don't want to yank at it and damage the airbox.

Just pull the hose towards you (towards the grill), and it should come off with relative ease.
