W204 facelift Xenon headlight lens change

W204 facelift Xenon headlight lens change
Hi all,
My 2012 w204 facelift version drivers side xenon headlight with IlS was damaged in a car park and the plastic lens smashed. A new light is £800.
My question is can I buy a halogen headlight from a facelift W204 and swap the plastic lens, from the headlight assembly, are they the same shape. These complete lights are going for £100 on eBay so a good saving if I put the time in.
Plenty of videos etc on warming up the lights and prising the lens off.
Has anybody done is?
Looking at pictures they seem the same shape lens with a different housing Attached for the halogen or xenon,
Any help much appreciated
