Overhead Console Unit Replacement
Hello,
My overhead console unit- 2008 C300 W204 is broken. Found a replacement unit on eBay from a 2012 C250. The part looks the same as mine, part number is different, mine is A 204 820 and the one that i am looking at is A 204 900.
Does anyone have experience installing a newer part in older model? or does anyone know someone who can help to get an answer from? My local dealership didn't get back to me after numerous attempts.

Most likely because different part numbers from different models aren't interchangeable without some sort of modification, and not only is the dealer not going to get into that, but unless you find someone who made the same modification, then you're not likely to get any sort of answer.
You'd be better off looking some more and/or waiting until you find the same unit with the same part number for a direct exchange.
