I've seen people mirroring their android phones onto the C300 LCD screen but i'm not sure if my car is capable of that... is the COMAND/media package required for that? If so, is there an alternative way to do it? My goal is to be able to use it for GPS since my car didn't come with it.

Mirroring it may be a downgrade in screen quality. A good mount may have better results. Although it is less tidy.

I use a magnetic phone mount and often have both the phone and car's GPS up at the same time. I find it useful to have 3D view on the phone and 2D view on the car.
