Floor mats/liners

Floor mats/liners
I have the OEM MB carpet floor mats. I need to get some all-weather mats.
I'm trying to decide between the MB all-weather (rubber) mats, and the WeatherTech laser measured floor liners.
Has anyone had either or both of these? Thoughts?
A specific concern: Where your left foot rests there is a "corner" of the carpet that is exposed with the MB mats. It appears the WeatherTech mats cover this portion, which is something I'd like to do.

I have the OEM all weather mats (made by Weathertech) for the fronts, and the normal Weathertech ones for the rear.

I can't take a picture at the moment, but the place your left foot rests on the forward portion of the floor there is a narrow section at a different angle than the rest of the floor. There is a "flap" from the mat which covers this area. However, between the flap and the regular floor contour there is a corner of the carpet exposed.

No gap in the oem winter mats. E. G not an issue. Did you want me to take a pic?

Dead pedal could be the correct term. If you could take a picture that would be great. My carpet floormats leave the corner exposed, as do the rubber MB mats at the dealership.

That appears to be the Weathertech floor liner. The all-weather look like this:
So, you have helped answer my question. Thanks.
(Hope the image shows up, it's the first time I've tried inserting one).

My understanding of this is that Weathertech makes two different types of mats. One is like you pictured and the other is like the one I attached.
Weathertech makes a mat that is just like the OEM one I took a picture of.
I dug this up on the Weathertech site: (this is for the W204 sedan)

Cheers!
(I guess that's what you're referencing with regards to the Floor liner vs Floor mat! Why they use these names is beyond me!)

Well, the rubber ones clean up easy but they still have the issues the carpet mats do with dirt and sand getting around the sides. The WeatherTech ones are like buckets.
I would have been happier if I had gotten WeatherTech. But the OEM rubber mats are good.
My dealer uses them on the loaner vehicles. I assume so that they protected the cars better. That and they also sell them at the service desk.

I have the Weathertech liner/tray ones and I love them. primarily for winter as they help keep the salt and slush off the carpeting better than the rubber type. Well worth the money in my opinion.
