Dashcam power source

Dashcam power source
Hey mbworld, recently bought a dashcam (ddpai mini 2). I want to install the dashcam without having any wires exposed in the cabin, my question is there any power outlets that is secretly located in the car that isn't the outlet located in the centre console or the rear ventilation console. I have a 2013 c300 4 matic Canadian; I'm aware that the prefacelift had a outlet in the glove box but my model doesn't have itafter visually inspecting it. Just want to make sure there is no hidden outlets before maybe ordering a hardwire to tap into front fuse box.
Any help or even suggestions about a setup would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Tapping the fusebox would be the easiest way. Use something like this https://www.smart-stuff.parts/black-fuse-holder for a clean install.

Tug your wires in between window glass and trim with a credit card or something thin. Then just work your way under glove compartment right into sigaret lighter outlet. Im not sure if it will eat the battery over night if connected to fuse or some other electrical output except for sigaret lighter.

Hey all, was about to buy a hard wire kit, before that I just wanted to check if there actually fuse box in the front of the car. I take of the cover on the left side dash (steering side), and found there is no fuse box. Is the only fuse box in the back car? Is that the only power source I can tap into with hard wire. I was like under therimpression that there was 2 fuse boxes, front and back. Can't find any facelift dash set ups
Thanks in advance

Some W204'w have a fuse box up front but most just have one in the trunk and one under the hood.

See the spot between the purple and yellow fuse carriers? Those two slots provide 12v constant power. If you get the black fuse holder I linked to, those are the best spots to wire dash cam power and have a clean install without it looking like an afterthought.

Why the fuse box?
I am really surprised that more people are not going in to the map light cluster to get the power. I am just in the process of installing as below. The thread is for a radar detector, but the power is the same so its basically the same method. Has anyone here done this and if so can you confirm the cable colors are correct?
