While I don't share the same "sense of entitlement" as some of the other members above, I do agree with them, don't drift your Benz. If you want to drift, get a good project car like a 350/370, G35/G37, M3, or even a 240sx/Silvia. There are a lot of cars that start as a good base build for drifting, Mercedes is not one of them. Plus drifting is already super expensive, don't make it even more expensive by drifting your Benz. Just my .02

He is drifting a nine year old C Class. Hardly an expensive car. Certainly not something I would do, but what the hell, who cares? As long as it is not done on public streets in an unsafe manner, big deal. Just because it is a "Mercedes" it is too good for something like that? Please. It is just a car.

If the guy wants to drift his C-Class then who cares? His car and he can do what he chooses with it.
Personally I'd buy something else but it is his car so smoke em if you got em.

Not about the price to me, but the lack of class involved in drifting a Merc.
It's like those idiots who take a Maybach off road or people who drift a Rolls Royce.
Just don't. It's classless. People expect that from BMW drivers, not Mercs.

I snow drifted my 4Matic last major snow storm, in a large empty lot at 4am when the only other guy that'd be out driving is a cop(about 1/8th mile away in another lot ). I had a little fun and then got out before anyone could report it. Is that bad form too? I think others here like to "toy" around when the opportunity occurs as well.

PEOPLE expect that from BMW drivers? What people? Mercedes owners? I bet you ask the same question to BMW owners you might get a different answer.

2008 c300 stick rwd
So I see every one has a bunch of mixed feeling about this but I would just like to say that BMW unless it's a M series has a open diff witch really sucks for drifting but it does have a hand e brake. My car witch is a w204 c300 is stick and has lsd of some sort and I can spin those tires like butter. The only thing that I can agree with you guys on is it's not actually meant to drift because it has a pedal e brake. But I dont really need to use it because I'm not going fast enough so kicking the clutch works just fine. It's fun you guys should try it if you got it. P.s I'm going to Shannon ville September 9th for the drift event if any one is in the area you should come out and see what it's all about
