i have a mercedes benz c300 4matic 2013 model and i would like to know which type of engine oil (mobil one model) should i use because i keep on seeing check engine oil at next refueling and i think it has to do with the type of engine oil i use. I live in Nigeria having an average of 30 degrees c.

I am using the Fuchs titan 5w-30 and change the oil every 12.5k km. I live in Greece and we now have 42c.

The right specification for petrol engines is 229.5 here: https://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevolisten/229.5_en.html

229.51 is for diesel engines and C300 should be a petrol engine.
