Hey, i have a Mecedes Benz c180, 2013 model, 2.1 120hp, 63 000km. Yesterday i was driving on highway and the light popped up in my dashboard. I pulled up to check the engine bay and there was a strange sound coming out of engines right side, like there was an air leak in somewhere in that direction. My Mercedes mechanic is not working today and it only opens on monday. Is there anything i can try to fix it myself?

Sounds like it might be a vacuum leak. Best thing to do is to get the car scanned and see what code comes up. That will point you to where the problem might be.

When my car was relatively new, I think 15 000Km one week after the 1st service it gave engine light over weekend after driving 10 km's.
They came out on call, the tech logged in and reset the computer, light gone.
A week later the same thing, they drive out about 400Km again, different tech, I told him to open bonnet, we then hear a hissing sound comes and goes.
When he touch the aircleaner C350 its rear just "fell off" without any effort. The aircleaner was not seated properly on intake maf sensor.

The engine light never came on again. They done 800km to fix it, simple it was in this case.
