2013 Mercedes C250 Sport
I've noticed since I bought the car that the cap on the power steering reservoir has a small leak. It's not around the neck of the cap, it's on top where the hole is. I doubled check to make sure the leak is not coming from anywhere related to the reservoir as I have searched and read it's common for the reservoir to leak. My reservoir is ok. Just the top portion of the cap is leaking. Is this normal? Thanks in advance.

So has this problem been around for other Mercedes model? If so would replacing the cap fix the issue?

It's vented so I guess the question should be why it's coming out. Could it have been overfilled?Originally Posted by Michael Nguyen

I thought that too so I wiped off any excess and left it. I kept wiping it when I see more. It wasn't until the 3rd time(roughly 3 years) is when I noticed my power steering was making minor noise in the morning. Upon checking the fluid, I noticed it was low so I topped it off and the noise went away. But the cap leak is still around. 😞

Try cranking the steering wheel from far left to right and vice versa. See if there's more spillage.
