Help: Firewall passthrough

I've just picked up a '13 C300 Sport for a DD. Looking to mount my phone on the A-pillar and run power from the fuse panel under the hood (I don't have one in the cab). I searched, but couldn't find anything other than going under the quarter panel.

Anyone done this or have any ideas?

Wrong Way?

I believe that most folks get power from the trunk fuse box....

There's a grommet behind the battery on the 2010. May be same on yours.

I'll have to look once I get behind the A-pillar to see how far down the bag goes. The mount should be here next week, if it doesn't look safe I'll mount on the dash. Either way, I need to run power.

Thanks for the heads up on running cable from the rear fuse box, very helpful. I think the post about the A-pillar was more about what/where the mount will do/go if the airbag deploys...

There's no airbag behind the A-pillar.
