HI 'SUPER,
I TOO HAVE A C250 COUPE.
REGRET YOUR PCV TROUBLES.
YOUR "DESIGNED TO BREAK' OBSERVATION SURE GOT MY ATTENTION.
OTHER THAN HAVE MB CHECK THE PCV VALVE FOR OPERATION/HOSE CRACK AT NEXT SERVICE, I'M NOT SURE HOW TO PROCEED. I'M AT 35,000.
WHAT DID YOUR ODOMETER READ WHEN YOU NOTICED THIS CONDITION?
BEST, EZ

edit: you can see the hose crack, but you cant see if the pcv valve is stuck until you get the hose out . The car is **** like i said. I sometimes get the P0002 fuel starvation code too, and i just changed my high pressure pump from a used 2013 with low mileage and thought the problem was gone, and it came back a few weeks later when i pushed it hard.. i also changed my low pressure fuel filter in the gas tank and still have the fuel issue.
This car is junk, my engine mounts are done already at 85K
I am a mercedes lover, and work on them a lot, and i bought the car because i believe in their quality, but having MAJOR design flaws on HIGHLY EXPENSIVE parts, is a NO NO
High pressure fuel pump = $2500 at the dealer, $1000 used + labour
Chain + gears = $1500 + $1000 labour or so .
And they both go randomly on this car even if you take care of it.
I still havent had the chain problem, but guess what... today i am changing my valve cover gaskets becuase they are also leaking at 85000km and making my coils wet with oil!!
I took the valve cover off, and sure enough my cam gears look pretty worn out, so i am going to have the famous Chain+ gear issue sometime in the future, even though i replace my engine oil with Mobil 1 5-40 every 6000KM
So much for taking care of a turd.

Hello,
I have long crank time ( three to five sec crank) on my 2013 c250 with 73k miles on it. Has been there for the last 5 days. Check engine light showed up, so I took it to auto shop to read the code and P0340 code came up.
I started reading more about the code P0340, and I ended up here. After reading all the posts, I see, I have similar issues now.
Owner: Single owner
Service maintenance: 5 times serviced with dealer, and 6th time("A" service was done) went to an authorized european car mechanic shop and got it done. Now, after 2 months I started to see issue. I am not sure if I can relate to it, but stated seeing after two months of service.
Sequence of events after, I saw the engine light come on.
1) I went to the same mechanic shop who did the service last time for the check engine light.
2) After the diagnostics was done they said it read P034062.
3) I have been told to remove/replace timing gear/phaser, and the quote is around 6K inclusive tax.
4) I am very surprised to see the quote and hesitant to go there for repair. Probably I need a 2nd or 3rd eye to look at it.
5) Scheduled another appointment with authorized mechanic shop(Foreign Affairs Auto - West Palm Beach, FL). Anybody heard of them, if so how are they?
6) Should I go to a MB dealer because this is a major repair?
7) Please suggest next steps before I perform any major repair.
8) Is it advisable to still drive the car?
Please advise.

I'm in the process of buttoning up the engine on my c250, intake camphaser clicking and making noise and p0340 code on startup. Two new BBR Camphasers from FCP Euro, waiting on the two top chain guides before I put the valve cover on, hopefully start it tomorrow.
