Adding a reverse camera
hello, looking to buy a 2014 c300 w204 but it does not have the reverse camera option. I also don't believe it has navigation. when I press nav it says "no navigation available". I have read the diy thread on this but still a bit confused. also most of the pictures have been taken off. I am good with electronics and modifying. my question is, with the package I have is it pretty straight forward to hook up a camera? can I just plug in a camera into the back of the head unit or do I also need an interface module? thank you for your time

ya, it would be really nice if I could just find an adapter and just plug in a after market camera. I found a kit from mid city (LVDS204K)but its pretty expensive at $599usd and there are no pictures of what you actually get. has anyone installed this kit? I am willing to throw down that cash but it would be nice if there was a cheaper option out there.

You should check out this thread. These guys are claiming that their product adds not only rearview camera but 360 degree camera also for all w204 sedans. It's a little pricey (i think like $1200 and that is only the product). Then you need to pay for installation unless you're a DYI kind of person.

I was looking to add back up camera to my 2014 C300 but so far anything that I look at has been in the neighborhood of $1000. If someone knows a less expensive "Good" system I am all ears.
