Vinyl wrapping roof
I’m thinking of wrapping my roof black (white C300).
Anyone done this? Curious as to cost? Would love to see pictures and hear opinions.

Not sure what area you are in but search through Don's threads and I am sure you'll find quite a few pics. Or PM him as I am sure he'll be more than happy to respond to any Q's.

I paid $180 Canadian for the job. The average price quote was from 220-250 dollars from most places, but I got a minor discount for removing the roof antenna myself to make the job easier. 3M vinyl was used, and I love the look. The finish is pretty much as good as it's going to get for vinyl, I washed, clay bar'd and polished the roof before it was wrapped.

Good post.
Also, watch out for cheaper materials. They tend to shrink at the edges after a few weeks under the sun.

I wrapped the roof of my wife's white c300 with my brother. I bought 3M 1080 gloss black vinyl wrap from ebay for about $60.
The vinyl was super forgiving because it was porous and removing air bubbles just involved rubbing or tapping on the bubble with your finger.
I never wrapped a roof before and I give it a 7/10 on difficulty scale...primarily because of the antenna.
It's been on for 2 years with no issues whatsoever. You can even wax it and it looks like glass.
It's definitely a fun DIY job if you have a clean environment to work in and you have a second set of hands.
