Command nav update from v5 to 2017 failed

like the title says I got a 2017 update disc for the ntg4-204 and I got it inserted and started the update. It stayed at 0% then said the disc is not the right one. Now it keeps saying insert update disc 1 and won't go back to the maps. Can anyone help? Did it delete v5 already or is there a way I can go back to it? Do I need to update to each update first like v6 if so does anyone have the disc? I'm out of San Diego, California

Are you using original discs? Have you tried shutting off command and turning back on or ejecting the disc?

Yeah i thought they were till I looked at them again and I am pretty sure they are not. Got it off amazon go figure. I tried that and restarting, reseting command and even disabling and reenabling in engineering menu. No dice. I'm betting the disc is bad and I need another one.

In my experience, and when my last update failed, I simply ejected the discs, inserted them again, and I got nothing... Sat there frustrated for a little while and eventually, it resumed the installation process (as if it took it a minute to search the disc for where it left off). Of course, this is assuming the discs are not corrupt.

Fortunately, if you bought it through Amazon, and assuming you are still within the return period, I'd contact seller immediately and request an exchange or a refund.
Unfortunately, if it never completed the installation it might mean that your COMAD system is down until you receive the proper disc.

If you have a DVD burner you can try to copy the discs you received. Use a good quality media.
