C300 2013 4MATIC, Needs Advice

Hello All,

At the advice of the dealer, changed the front passenger stock Conti tire (developed sidewall bubble) with a new tire. The dealer said replacing only a single tire would be safe since the rest of tires were slightly worn (all had thread depth of 7). I have read in this forum about potential damage to the 4MATIC transmission that could be caused by driving on unevenly worn tires.
a) Should I be worry about transmission damage in this situation?
b) if yes, then could under-inflating the new tire by several PSI, alleviate the potential damage to the 4MATIC transmission?

Thanks

rule is always replace tires in sets.... front 2 or rear 2 or all 4 if needed.... but like you said if slightly worn but still looks new..... i wouldn't worry about it.. 4MTIC on brother.... rest easy...
