w204 Modding Questions
Before I start this thread, I want to thank everyone who commented on what I should do incase of a crash and how to act, I never act that way I don't know why I did then.
I'm buying a dash cam, does anyone know of a good cheap one?
I want to buy a c63 bumper off bodykits.com it costs 160$ +170$ shipping (crazy shipping more than the bumper). Does anyone have any knowledge on how much it costs to paint the bumper?
I'm in need in new wheels, is it cheaper to buy aftermarket or from offerup, if anyone is in the South Florida area and has wheels they are trying to sell can you post pictures and how much.
Do cold air intakes work?

Wheels are very specific to the car and you should buy them from a website that will make sure they fit since you are not very experienced with this car.
I just did a cold air intake yesterday on my car. Temps outside are 60s and the car feels great. It feels more responsive at the top end and the exhaust sounds louder than it already did with X-Pipe and 2nd cat delete. Also it now has the whooosh sound it did not have before from the engine bay, almost like a turbo whine.

C63 bumper will run you around $400 regardless where you get it. Should cost $200sh for a decent paint job.

Wheels are my weak link, don't know **** about them. But everything other than that I know quite a bit. I did remove my mufflers and 2nd cats (my muffler shop told me they were just resonators) and put place an x-pipe. Can you tell me your cold air intake setup

2x Spectre 8771 coupler
2x Spectre 87081 tube
I wouldn't spend $250+ on an untested product to see if it would give me any gains, I have never seen that in my life.

For dashcams, I prefer the wedge style shapes like the A118c or the more up to date A119c. Which ever route you go with, just make sure you get the CAPACITOR version and not battery based (do a search on why). As for the "tornado" intakes...that's snake oil and I'd stay away, but you are young and ambitious with mods (I've been there) and probably won't listen to anyone and buy it anyways.

The Tornado Super Charger.. Haven't seen anyone ask about that is several years. That is a definite waste of money. Been around for years and I can't believe they even still seel this crap. It is not powerful enough to do anything. Plus, look at this logically. If there was something out there that added 15 horsepower to a car AND saved fuel to boot AND if cost less than $100 don't you think the manufactureres would be all over that? They spend millions and millions of dollars a year just to eek out tenths of a gallon of fuel to increse their MPG or to increase horsepower. Don't fall for it.
I see it costs $89 yet it costs $175 to ship it. That thing isnt that big and cannot weigh much, so it should not cost that to ship unless you are shipping it halfway around teh world. Where are you located?

P.S. You'll see some above $100, but those generally include GPS. I personally tend to shy away from GPS enabled dashcams in fear that the recorded speed may one day be used against me.

Do a search on Amazon and it should be around $80. The "branding" can differ, so I'm not playing any favorites, but if I personally had to buy one right now (without further research), it would be the A119C line of dashcams.

How do you define "race car"? Like a NASCAR stock car? Like a pro stock drag car? Like a showroom stock SCCA car? Dirt track car? There are all kinds of race cars.
Search for one of the sponsors on here, FPC Euro. They built a C300 race car. That will give you some idea what would be involved and how much you want to spend and how far you would want to take it.

I'm sure if you would search a bit for companies/logos/products you like you might be able to get decals or stickers from them. Or maybe selectively apply wrap to areas of the car or plastidip the wheels. Whatever you do, I would suggest making sure everything is removeable because otherwise it could really devalue the car when you trade it in.
One thing to consider is do you really want to call attention to yourself that way? A young person in a flashy loud car tends to get more than their fair share of attention from the police.

I'm young but I seem to be nowhere close to anything brought up in these threads.
Not high school young but like c'mon. There's common sense in a lot of these things.

Lol, I am crazy over Mercedes but just don't have money to put into a c63 so might aswell make it mean and crazy looking. I'm a very weird individual, I am tired of the lame black and chrome look so let's go above and beyond
