If I turn off the DRL will the auto headlamp mode still work or must DRL be enabled for the auto setting to work? Also please recommend good qualiity DOT compliant bulbs to replace my stock bulbs.

Yes it will. I leave it off to preserve the life of my headlight bulbs.

What kind of stock bulbs do you have...halogens?

yes I have stock halogens. Might try the Crystal vison ultra but am hearing mixed reviews about them, Any suggestions?

I installed these a few months back. They work great. Can't say much about longevity yet but they shine much brighter than the OEM bulbs and have a nicer whiter color. I also raised the aim of the bulb a bit to make it even shine further. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F382111720590
