Deactivate ECO Start/Stop Function
How can I permanently shut off the ECO Start/Stop Function ?
I don't want to change anything else, just shut it off.
Thanks,
Richard S.

you have to find someone with the factory software to turn that coding off. Its not just the sds with Xentry software.. You need somewhere with Videamo and a person that knows how to use it.

$174 for something that is not identified ? What is it, software, hardware, or ??.
Anyone bought this thing ? What is it actually and how did you like it ? After all, it will most likely save
a gallon or two of gas a month.

To answer your question, it is hardware that has to be hard wired into your vehicle. Don't forget to account for installation costs. If you look at the past posts on this forum, a few people who really didn't want to simply turn ECO off upon start-up bought this product. Those that have purchased it seemed to be satisfied with it based on their feedback on the forum. You should PM them to see if they are still happy with it and their decision to get it.
Personally, I think it is a waste of money, but that is just me. I have no problem just pushing the ECO button off after start-up. Just like I have no problem always having to put the vehicle in sport mode across the board each time I start it. So it just a standard routine at this point. Takes less than two seconds. Not a big deal to me. However, I do realize some people find this process annoying to do on an ongoing basis , so they opt for this solution. Given that Mid City seems to be the only solution to this particular issue that I have seen talked about here over the last three years, my guess is they can pretty charge what they want for it. Yes, I agree it is somewhat of an absurd price to pay to avoid having to push a button at start-up, but there seems to be a market for it if they are able to charge that amount.

Just stop wearing a seatbelt. ( Unless your state mandates you wear it, or you think you might get into a traffic accident, lol )
Apparently, ECO mode is documented not to run the STOP/START feature without your seatbelt fastened.
I just experienced an ECO stop in the Starbucks drive through for the first time in like 6 months, and it convicts me guilty as charged of not ever wearing the seatbelt. Please don't report me to any authorities.

No seatbelt? Seriously!?
I disable ECO mode usually in the summer when it is 90+ the AC loss for a bit is a a problem at long stops. Otherwise, it really isn’t an issue as the engine starts up quickly and reliably.
