Winter Driving

Hello everyone!
I recently purchased my first Mercedes. I was curious as to what other drivers thought of how the 4 Matic handles on snowy roads? I live in PA and our crazy winters are fast approaching. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Factory ordered 2012 MB C350 w/Dynamic Handling Package
...to add to Adi's comment....I'd take any 2WD car with good winter tires over a 4wd car with all-season any day.

Remember, 4WD/4-Matic will mainly help you get to speed. It won't help you stop or avoid a ditch.

Winter tires are the most important thing, don't forget it. You'd better buy 4 winter tires.

Yeah, winter tires are a plus. These all-seasons I have though, like, are insane. I've never had all seasons so close in performance to dedicated tires on both ends of the spectrum, summer and winter.
Then again, you get what you pay for with tires so keep that in mind.

Yes, don't be the guy who buys 1, 2, or only 3 winter tires. (lol)
My old set I'd say was 4/32's last winter, stock contipro's and I used them in the winter. Embarrassed a lot of drivers in SUV's who thought they would start faster than me (was not racing; just them trying to pass me at a light). I'd say that because of the characteristics of the car, it handles really well in the snow, better than most SUV's. Although, ground clearance I assume could be an issue, but I don't think we ever got more on the roads than half a foot of snow at once on the roads.

I have issues with half a foot of snow Lowered plus all around lips reduce my ground clearance to around 5-6 inches. I can barely get on an alignment rack.

With my old tires I wasn't lowered, just stock rims and all, and I was up 4 inches front the ground LOL what?
On youtube you see some w204's used as a snow plow lol.
