sideswiped, estimates? Anyone else have this happen?
Anyone have to deal with this? I was sideswiped on the highway, just wondering what it may be estimated to since everything is closed until after the new year. Begins just after the front wheel down the entire side until the back fender before the wheel, there’s scratches along the actual fender and a scuff on the quarter panel above the back fender. My mirror had come out but I pushed it back it, it’s now ratteling and it’s separating, the lens is also cracked on the mirrors turn signal. The front drivers door has a ton of dents and it went straight through all paint down to metal on both doors, it’s just been a day and it’s already showing signs of rust I believe, unless it’s dirt from the other car but I didn’t see it yesterday.

In the grand scheme of things, the damage is minor, and you lived (And there were no structural issues caused by said crash).

I actually had something very similar happen to me on the freeway when someone came into my lane. Even looks like where the other car's wheel contacted right where the two doors meet. They replaced both doors as I was told that there was a chance that the internal structural brace might have been compromised, so it was simpler just to replace the doors. I don't remember the exact cost, but I thnk it might have been in the $3K-$4K range.

Hi,
My advice is don't start doing anything until it has been assessed by your insurance assessor.
You may end up with two new doors and new mirror, I would be pushing for the rear door replacement rather than repair.
