check engine light
merc benz c220 cdi 2008 model right hand drive vehicle i drive the car for 3 hours reached my destination after the car is in standby for 4 hours when i take out my vehicle it drives fine but check engine light is blinking from 2 days it drives good nothing happened sometimes it blinks light and sometimes not from 2 days it is blinking what can be the issue.

thanks for reply i checked the diesel cap which is tight enough but light is still blinking and i have 1 more issue after restarting of the car after 2 days i drive for 7 hours and after restart the car it shows pre safe inoperative and airbag light turns on and these faults come after when i restart the car 1st it shows check engine after 2 days it shows pre safe inoperative what should i do please help me what can be the issue.

Check if aircleaner is tight down on engine, cheap no cost, it happened to me(I had two callouts-800Km drive for them(Code reset) to my home for this, car runned fine also, only the 2nd tech find the fault-2 weeks)-(Remeber codes said MAF sensor faulty).
