2010 C300 engine cranks but won't start
2010 C300, 75K miles. Check engine light went on, I figured it was the gas cap since the light went off the next day.
The following day, the engine would crank but not start. Waited 20 minutes and it started fine!
Does this sound like a Crankshaft position sensor issue or something else?

Could be, but then again it could be the fuel pump, fuel filter, battery, etc. Could be a lot of things. Best thing to do is get the code read and post here or do a search. That will at least give you a logical starting point.

If the check engine light went away, can I still get a code read?
