Muffler/sound and warranty
Hi i just bought a new CPO 2014 c300, im still on the original warranty and they trying to sell me the full 7y warranty.
but i was wondering every car i bought ive always changed muffle or wtv you call it and i had no issue but i called my dealer services and they told me the warranty accept NO MOD including muffler and pipe or whatever..
but ive seen a lot of video with c300 adding Xpipe with muffler delete so im wondering if it remove the warranty for real ??
edit: ive seen a lot of place talking about it in 2010 on the forum and it seem after the cat you can do wtv you want ?? im just wondering because my dealer said i couldnt...

Why do you want a loud raspy sounding car anyway?
Keep the original parts so if you sell the car or come to your senses, you can put the original items back on the car.
I'd double check the warranty. I can see removing the cats may void warranty but a cat back bolt on exhaust system should not.
Is the warranty from Mercedes or one of those 3rd party providers? They sell you that **** to make money, not to try and actually cover you so keep that in mind.

Anything modification done to the exhaust BEFORE the primary cats should not void the warranty. In order for them to void any warranty they need to prove that what you did broke whatever broke.
In other words, do not mess with the cats and you'll be fine (Not sure about secondary cats though)
