TPMS Inoperative - Replacing Control Module
The other day my 2008 C300 4Matic Sport came up with the "Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Inoperative." I checked the tires, they're fine. I went to a tire shop and they confirmed all of the wheels are transmitting fine and on the 433 Mhz level. My next option is to replace the TPMS Control Module, which I just purchased used on eBay. Couple of questions for anyone who can help:
1. Does the replacement control module need to be reprogrammed for it to work properly? Or can I just swap it in and out?
2. Are there any other suggestions about what else might be causing the warning light to go off?
Thanks for the help in advance.
