Radiator fan runs intermittently while car off (BATTERY DRAINED)

Hello all! New to MBWORLD here. I have been having a problem with my 2010 C300 4matic lately. Ever since we had a ft of snow and freezing temps my car battery has been draining. I did not drive it for about a week during the storm. I tried to start it and the nothing. The battery was brand new so I took it back to AutoZone who swapped it with a new one (still under warranty). I thought that may have fixed it but no. Once car is off, I can hear radiator fan running at high speeds on and off. This happens for about an hour or two and drains the fully charged battery down to nothing. I have been searching for a relay or fuse but can not find any info on the fan. I unplugged the connector at the fan and battery still dies even though fan is not running.

Somehow the battery is drawing power from the circuit even with it unplugged. My guess is that somehow water got in the electrical system when snow was melting but not sure how that would happen. I am hoping someone might have experienced this or have an idea on what to look for. Thanks in advance!

Coolant fan running high even with car off

Hi I’m having the exact same issue. Did you ever figure out the cause? What’s odd is that when my coolant fan is running high while car is off I can stop it simply by opening/ closing door / clicking unlock button or turning the key to 2nd position. This only temporarily stops it before starting up again a few minutes later. I’ve researched other forums and others have had success by changing blown fuse #52 but my w204 does not have that fuse. I do hear a click soundcoming from the M- circuit starter relay in front fuse box each time right before the fan goes off with car off. This behavior repeats until my battery is fully drained (brand new battery). Any suggestions?

I had the same issue as well and it turned out that water from the snow got into the fuse box under the hood which wasn’t closed securely 100% and it got into the circuit board. Had it cleaned properly and dried for an hour and it was fine afterwards
