If you're asking for a recommendation then I would take a look at Joe Gibbs DT40. A full synthetic 5W-40. Highly recommended oil by Porsche gurus for the new water cooled Porsches and European sports cars. Supposing greater resistance to heat. I use Castrol in my Benz.

My personal go-to oil is Redline or Amsoil. However, since I do not intend to go above 10k mile oil changes, I'll stick to Mobil-1, since it's cheap and can be purchased over the counter (vs mail order).

Forget about non-approved oils and go for an approved one... the list is big enough to avoid non-approved alternatives. Check it out here https://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevolisten/229.5_en.html
Personally, I drive with Petronas Syntium 7000 0w40 and it is great.

I've used oils ranging from motul to BMW oem oil in my w204 and I can honestly tell you, doesn't make such a significant difference. If you follow the maintenance schedule or even shorter than scheduled you'll be fine. I change mine every 4000km and always send my oils in for testing and always get positive results back. I ran oem BMW oil for almost a year and had no issues. Just food for thought before you throw down hard earned cash on name brand oils. I don't buy what's cheapest but I won't blindly buy based on brand name either.
