Replaced Instrument Cluster now Fuel Gauge Doesn't Work
I have a 2008 C300 with ~105k miles on it. Last week the instrument cluster completely died. Instead of spending $2000 on the car I chose to purchase a used cluster on ebay out of a 2011 and deal with the odometer issue later... if I ever decide to sell the car. After plugging the new cluster in everything works great except for the fuel gauge. Does anyone know if swapping eeprom would fix this issue? Was there a change in fuel sender units between 2008 and 2011? Any help would be appreciated, if I can't figure this out I'll be buying another ebay cluster out of an '08 (which is okay because I'll still be $1500 ahead of a new one).
