Upgrading from a C Class
Have thought of the new E/S, but with run flat tires, I'm not sure.
The new LS - looks weird, but is a serious contender.
May just wait until the 2019 Lexus ES/GS replacement comes out later this year
Test drove the G90 - nice car, but I dunno...it is a Hyundai after all...
Gave up on the Audi A8 after Audi Canada confirmed that port injection is not available/in use at any load, which is despite what the internet tells me.

I don't know how many members stay on here AFTER they sold their C Class. Maybe a better question would be would what would someone buy next.when they decided it is time to get a new car.
If that is the case, I am thinking Alfa Guilia in a couple years when the used ones are in my price range. Or maybe a C450, but I am still on the fence with teh big tablet sticking out of the dash and the rear of the newer C Class cars just doesn't look right to me for some reason. Maybe in a couple years that will grow on me a bit. I do know that when I saw my first W204 I just loved pretty much everything about teh exterior design.
I agree. And to add to this, most folks here are pretty much short lived. I know this may not be the popular opinion, but my wife and I prefer buying/preordering new and driving it for 7+ years minimum (10 preferred), and because of this, we avoid buying anything from the latest 2-3 brands we've already come from (so in my case, no more Mercedes, Lexus, Acura). The next car for her for sure is a Tesla. Me, however, I'm thinking Audi TTS or S3 (mainly anything that's a turbo4 with a dual clutch, but not FWD) so we can have long distance capability.
The biggest problem for me looking at the newer C class is then interioir. The dash looks horrible. The large screens on the S and new E as an upgrade look better. From what CES shows this is now coming to the A class so a face lift C is likely to drop the stupid tablet look.
If mercedes can fix their in car infotainment system I will be driving another C or E when I replace. Otherwise, I will be moving to another brand. Great car, but I am young so technology matters a lot.
