Paddle Shift coding

So last year, I installed a 2011 e350 flat bottom steering wheel with paddles on my 2008 c300 and no one is able to SCN code the paddles. I went threw 3 dealerships and they all seemed confused and never added options or they just tell me they dont do retrofiring..The last dealer had my car for 5 hours and they ended up telling me I need a Mercedes hacker to code it.. I paid Commandonline.uk 150 uk pounds for them to just give me these instructions :

Select the Transmission control unit
Select control module update
Select SCN coding

Only to find a video(
) that shows you all this and the codes that are required so dont do the same mistake on spending 150 $ for "information", they didn't even contact my local dealer to tell them what to do, they just me those 3 steps and told me to go to my local dealer which failed 3 times.

So today I tried to go to a local indy mercedes specialist and booked an appointment for him to try.. He was also confused and didn't know if it was possible even after me showing him the step by step and people on forums doing it, he jsut wasn't confident because he never did retrofiring.. Im about to order my own damn Xentry tool so I can do it my self but Im giving this last indy mechanic a chance to try it, I don't understand why this is such a complicated thing just to activate a damn manual mode via coding.. Any one else has had such bad luck with retrofitting new options to their mercedes ?

You can buy all the XDOS software you want, however if you don't have a factory subscription you will never be able to SCN,repeat never. You will have to find some one who sells subscription rights. You will also find out that your so called coding instructions won't code any thing----keep putzing and report on your efforts, but I suggest you find a girlfriend and spend time with here.

I am totally with you as I have been through everything you had in the passed three month and even had someone to add those 3 codes to VEDOC . I show the video to the local MB dealer. They failed multi-times when online SCN coding to transmission module due for A Fault Has Occurred ! " Fault Message (code: dialog_17)" - it is not possible to determine the coding string. They even told me the problem was caused by the added code 950 as I have code 952 already from stock .
