Cam gears W204 - M271
Hi everyone,
I have been told by various sources that on the C180 CGI Cam gears tend to pack up reasonably quick. Everytime I asked the question why was it never re-called and no one could answer that.
If it was such a problem why did MB not recall and have the issue fixed or was it a matter of they knew it might last until out of Maintenance or Service plan and not there problem any longer ?
Have the understanding they tend to go between 100-120 000km? Anybody have experienced such an issue ?

W204 C200, BMW E30 M3, 1980Gt Mini, Toyota Corona, KTM 200 EXC.
2008 C200K, I replaced my chain using the wind in method at 100K no noticeable wear on the sprockets now I have another 100K of no worries motoring from the chain and sprockets point of view.
