Is the hood on our cars aluminum? When I use a magnet it does get attracted to the hood, but we also have metallic paint, so I'm unsure if the hood itself is aluminum. I seem to recall W204s had aluminum hoods but I'm not 100%. Thanks

I could be wrong but I thought only facelifts have aluminum hood.

It's weird, I'm not sure why they didn't use aluminum in the first place for the hood. Could probably crank and extra 1 mpg and it wouldn't rust if there was any rock chips lol (not to say that mine has, and it has some small chips)

No idea. I want to try putting down Dynamat's Hoodliner to minimize engine noise, so I had to know if my hood was aluminum or not in case it rusts with the hoodliner in due to temp differences/condensation. Guess I'll give it a shot
