Line Out Convertor
Hey Guys,
Im new here so bare with me. I haven't updated any of my info yet so work with me here.
I have a 2015 C300 4Matic 100% stock. I just bought this vehicle in January, and I definitely do not have much experience in the "luxury vehicle" field.
Naturally for me when I buy a car the first thing I do is put a sub woofer in it. My plan is to put an LOC in the car, and put a single sub in it. I was initially going to do it myself, but iM constantly usy, so i might not have time to do it. I called one of my local audio shops here, and they told me to put in an LOC it would be somewhere around 800$ for just the parts. This guy told me they have to put in some "special box" because the car has fiber optic wiring for the stereo. 5 minutes later I called another shop, and he told me he has a "special LOC" that it doesnt matter that its fiber optic wiring in the car, and he could put it in for 400$ including labor, and parts.
Im a cheapo, so at this rate i would love to do it myself, but i want to be sure any LOC i buy it would actually work with my vehicle. I don't care about the price of the LOC I just don't feel like spending ~300$ on labor.

If you use a sub-amp like mine, you won't need a line-out-converter. It's built in.
. Bought mine on Amazon.com. Just hard-wired it to my rear door speakers.

The amp that i plan on using is the one that put in my last card which is a hifonics 3200W AMP. Definitly overkill, but hey whatever lol.
My main concern really is if im even able to put an LOC in the car its self. I was told i wasnt able to with one shop without some special box or whatever. And the other one said they have a "special LOC"
