Vps service

Hello All,
i have a 2013 Mercedes C 300 4 matic and it has 60k miles on it.
My recent trip to the dealership, I was asked to get 3 things done
1. Vps power steering fluid service - $200
2. Vps fuel injection service $200
3. Vps coolant service $200

I tried looking on the internet for information on these services, didn't find much specific to c300. I hope someone shed some light on the vps services like is the price right or am I being zipped, are they some special kind of services, did anyone else get these done before, etc
Thanks
-arun

Was where you took the car a Valvoline service center and not a Mercedes dealer? I never heard of a "VPS" service. Looked it up and that is what Valvoline calls their various service options. Stands for "Valvoline Professional Series". What was your car originally there to get done? Did they say why those services were recommeded? Unless you are having issues I wouldn't get them done and especially, not at a Valvoline service center. If VPS stands for soemthing else, please explain the specific dealership you went to.

I took it to a Mercedes dealership for a B service and was given that list of things to get done.
The dealership told me that they do this service at around 60k

I could see the power steering and maybe the coolant....maybe, but the injection service only if you are having some kind of drivablility issues. The coolant they could check the strength of it as well. My guess is they "recommend" it to drive up some sales, but probably not necessary unless they specifically gave you a reason other than they typically do it around 60K miles. Show you that it NEEDS to be done on your specific car. Personally, I would pass on all of it. Not that it is bad to do, but most likley money you don't need to spend now.
