Hello, I have a rattle noise in my rear view mirror and I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to take off the glass.

its a pain in the *** to open it. Best way to open it is with a strong plastic card, a credit card or something.
the rattle is most likely from one of the 2 reading lights

I just pry off the surrounding plastic?

I was able to take off the mirror and found it was full of beads, does anyone know if they have a purpose?

This was a while ago but I believe I just used a trim remover tool to get it off. I think it’s clipped on around the edges. As for the beads I never found where they came from or what purpose they served. I took them out and the mirror functioned just fine.
