If the Passenger seat is removed - Can I lock/unlock the car without troubles?
2008 W204 C300: In the near future, I would like to troubleshoot the passenger seat in my apartment due to 'open circuit' issues affecting the SRS light.
So I don't want to leave the car unlocked in the underground parkade. I had locking issues before when something was not totally right with the doors fully pushed in or so, but now I can't remember the circumstances.
I read about cautions regarding turning the key in the ignition if the seat is not in and properly connected and then that would require a trip to the Indy for resetting the seat in the system. So, I would cover the ignition hole with masking tape to raise awareness of not turning the key while the seat is out.
Thank You for responding to my question.
