ran out of washer fluid

Hello, I ran out of washer fluid and now it does not work. I can here the pump running but it does not squirt ? Do I need to reprime it ? If so how do I do This. Thanks :)

If its cold where you are and you hear the pump, maybe ice built up in the system. Don't force the pump just fill it up and try it in warmer climate. Or the pump fried because it ran dry and what you hear is a stuck pump, its an easy fix either way, the pump is right behind the fender liner.

Thanks for the reply , It looks like the pump is bad. Do I need to replace it with a OEM pump or can I use a after market pump

seeing the after market pumps are only 10$ with warranty I cant see why not becasue the genuine one is 5x the price.
