C250 Reliability

I may be looking at a c250 (coupe?). Ideally I'd like to get a newer 300, but there aren't that many in my area.
Could you guys go over common problems and what to look out for? All I know is some had timing chain issues, is it possible to identify this somehow/etc.
Thanks!

It seems that there is a large abundance of c250s for the newer models and much less c300s, even less c350s. I'm obviously looking at facelift models.
It also seems that the c250's have more packages such as the lighting and nav than the c300's, as well as the coupe model. However the c250's don't seem too reliable as the milage increases, and I drive a lot.
I was hoping to get a white one, but apparently there is less than 30 white c300's in the entire US under 70k miles, and even that's a bit stretching it.

What year did they fix the m271 evo's timing chain issue? Im looking at a 2012 one currently.

It's interesting because the timing chain issue is very common in the w203 platform but I don't see it as much on the w204, only a few threads.
I guess I'd be ok doing preventative maintenance but it's a big job, and really it's like buying a new car to work on it? I don't know really.
