2008 Mercedes Benz C350
Service B coming up.

I just got a 2008 C350 and I love the car.
Does everyone here take their cars to the Mercedes dealer for their maintenance?
My car is giving me a reminder to get the service B in a couple weeks so I checked their prices and I think $400-$500 is a little too much for what you get...

Any thoughts?

A good indy with good aftermarket parts (Mann, Mahle/Knecht) will serve you fine. I have mine serviced this way and have no issues.

I've stopped dealer servicing my car after passing the factory warranty period. Get an oil extractor and do all Service-A and Bs yourself for the cost of parts alone. You don't even need to crawl under the car.

Avoid going to the dealer (pocket invader) for minor things if you could or try to search for a reputable indy.
You'll be surprised how much $$ you'd save through the years. I forced myself to learn to repair minors things which I enjoy doing.
Our cars are 10 years old, it is inevitable that regular wear and tear parts are awaiting to be replaced and that's fine for driving cars that 10 years old.

My new non-Mercedes car takes 2x the oil and costs about 1/5 as much for the dealer service.

Although I always did my own services.

I use an Indi that uses Mercedes parts. About 40% less than the stealership.
