Swapping Dash Panels.

Hey guys,

I have searched everywhere and can't seem to find any information on this, only about swapping instrument clusters, and I have no interest in that. Basically, I like the face-lifted dash, and wanted to see if anyone would know if it would actually fit. I would keep my original instrument cluster, and little side button for lights, key hole, etc, while replacing the center command head unit radio, A/C and screen. Any thoughts? My main concerns are that openings for some things not matching up, as well as the inability to clip it on properly. But if anyone has experience with this, please let me know, I'm really not entirely sure this is possible.

Thanks!

*Edit: Microphone spot doesn't matter to me. It's useless and don't use it anyway.

I think this is nearly impossible... all openings and shapes are different and nothing will match.

Anything specific you are talking about? I have read people replacing the instrument cluster, so that should fit. The steering wheel looks like it would fit. The key hole as well as the light switch looks like it is in about the same spot. The remaining center area would be replaced with the actual 2013/14 command head units.

Looks possible to me however I wouldn't necessarily waste my time on it.

You could just buy some passenger side trim and call it a day, or swap the bottom temperature adjustment panel and you could add the touchscreen. Or all of it.

There's really nothing special in the shape of it to me, however thats pretty much the only difference between facelift interior (+steering wheel)

That sport package interior I would have loved though.

There's nothing special in the shape of it to me also, I just prefer the way it looks. I wouldn't bother either, but I have to replace my middle command head unit anyway since nothing is working. Was going to retro fit the NTG4 into my current dash, but figured if I can get the whole dash for cheap enough, why not just redo the whole thing, so long as the dash fits. I'll probably keep the temperature panel, as its nearly identical and mine still works. But I'd love to get rid of that crummy 2x2 screen that provides me with near to useless information.

It is possible, of course but it is too hard to be worth the efforts, to my opinion.
