Facelift W204 Duplex Exhaust OEM

Hi,

I have facelift S204 C220 CDI, 2013. Currently I have one exhaust on the left side. I want to change it with two, but only with the OEM from higher models, probably from C350 CDI.
I checked on my car and I saw that on the right side I have place for the second exhaust, so.. there is no problem to install it.
The only problem that I have is, I don't know which exhaust I need. It must be OEM from higher model. I checked and I saw that C350 CDI has almost the same exhaust, but I dont know the original manufacuter number.

I found this Manufacturer Part Numbers:

A2044911701 left
A2044911801 right

and

A2044909521 left
A2044909621 right

and

A2044912101

What is the difference between these?? Which one do I need?

P.S. Does "W204" and "Facelifted W204" has the same exhaust? Exhaust must be from facelifted models.

Thanks in advance.

Question

You forgot beside A2044912101 (left) also A2044912201 (right). I'm also confused. I hope that someone will explain us what is difference between these manufacture numbers, because all are for the same C350 models.

If your C220 is a four cylinder then the C350 exhaust parts will not be compatible with your car for obvious reasons.

Wrong. If you put only mufflers on it and use the "Y" tube, it's compatible 100%. My friend did this also on his BMW and he says that can be done also on Mercedes.

So you're trying to figure out the part numbers for items 610 and 630 below?
You might also need item 250 unless you will use a custom "Y" adapter to connect the two.

The part numbers for the two mufflers that I'm finding are A2044909521 and A2044909621, just like you found. But searching Google for the other part numbers brings up mufflers that look exactly the same. I think what is going on is you have three sets of valid part numbers but one set is the most recent and supercedes the others. There may have been minor changes but the part physically stayed the same, but Mercedes-Benz decided to issue a new part number. We can't know from our end or just searching Google so your best choice would be to call Mercedes-Benz and ask for the difference and ask if they are interchangeable or which one is the current valid one.

Sorry, I didn't realize I was looking at part diagrams for gasoline models. I found the "Y" downpipe you're talking about that's on V6 diesel engines.

Answer from Mercedes Benz :

Afternoon,

The only part numbers that are a valid part number are below –

A2044909521 left
A2044909621 right

for some reason MB do stamp up exhausts with different part numbers and I am not entirely sure why, it may be something to do with different market areas using different part numbers.

I am not sure if these are UK only part numbers or not unfortunately. We only have access to check the UK warehouse stock and the distribution centre in Germany. The other 4 numbers you supplied come back as “not a recognised part number”.
The only places that should be able to supply genuine MB parts are the MB dealers, so just be careful of who is supplying these parts.

Hope this answers your question

Regards,

Cool

WRONG!

I bought new W204 Mercedes Benz C350, 2013 in Germany. I checked part numbers and I have A2044912101 (left) and A2044912201 (right).
I think this part numbers are from facelift models between 2011-2014.
