Silica gel packets in Depo headlights?

Hey everyone,
I just got the DEPO pojector headlights for my C300, and have read reviews on the internet saying they get moisture inside and eventually stain. I also read that people put silica gel packets to absorb any mosture, thus preventing staining and protecting the headlights. I currently only have the halogen setup, but I'm wondering if this is dangerous? I read that silica gel isn't flammable in itself, but the packaging is tyvek?

Personally, I wouldn't do that.
