Injen Throttle Controller

I just figured I’d give you guys a heads up of the new and better solution to our laggy throttles. I know some of you guys have run Pedal Commanders or various other branded throttle controllers. Injen Technology (I’ve used them before on my Japanese cars so I trusted them) just released their own throttle controller called a Pedal-X.

I am in no way affiliated with them, but their design is much sleeker, the unit is simple to use, and the install legitimately took 5-10 minutes with the W204 specific harness they included. Also this unit has an anti-theft mode that gives 0% throttle even if the car were to be hot wired.

I couldn’t justify the $1,000 range for a 20whp tune, so this seemed liek the logical budget way of doing things. The Sport mode level 9 (max) on this unit definitely made the car a hell of a lot of fun. Zero lag.

Ebay. $225. Pedal commander goes for about $300 from what I’ve seen.

Thanks for the heads up, I am definitely interested in something like this. I am trying to pay for a wedding and buy a house, so funds for the Benz are a little tight right now.

After doing some searching around, I found another option. Has anybody heard of this:
https://www.revhigh.com.au/mercedes-...tle-controller
Looks like the company is located in Australia, and have an email out to them to get pricing in USD, but just wanted to see if anybody has had any experience with it.

Tekfoc, thanks for the link, looks very promising....especially since it looks like they are based in the US. Do you have one of these? If so, how do you like it?

I saw this too. I decided to go with Injen considering they have been a staple in the tuning community for well over 10+ years. They are what I would consider as a big time company. I didn’t want to install some random no name companies product.

I completely understand that point of view...I used Injen's products on my Spec V, 350z, and my Del Sol, and normally I would agree it. However the biggest issue I have with the Injen product is when I go to their website, there is no "official" option for Mercedes as whole, let alone the W204. I would rather try a no name brand that has an option for my specific vehicle, then a major brand that doesn't. Just my .02, but like I said, I am not disagreeing with your logic, as it is normally the logic I would use.

With all of that said, how do you like the one from Injen? I would like to get input on both products.

Thanks in advance.

I had that problem too. For whatever reason their marketing team has been slow. This Pedal-X unit as a whole was just released 2-3 weeks ago. It’s a brand new line for them.

Have you had a chance to install yet? I am looking to pull the trigger on a throttle controller, so I wanted to get your thoughts (if possible) before I do.

Thanks!

It’s the exact same thing just more visually appealing. They both do the same thing. I don’t know if the Sprint Booster has a throttle lock out though. The Injen has a throttle lockout “anti-theft” setting as well which is nice. It installed in like 5-10 minutes too it was simple.

Thanks for the info. I guess I won't need it since I have a sprint booster. There is still lag sometimes with the sprint booster though. And it doesn't have a lock out.

They do have a specific W204 harness. Just search ebay for “w204 throttle controller injen”. They install in 5 minutes, and I love mine.
