I'm looking to DIY fix the steering wheel buttons because the face of the buttons is peeling on the right side of the steering wheel. The buttons themselves work flawlessly.
I've found a replacement button pack but the voice control button in my car is chrome. I also found
that lay on top of the peeling button, but it seems like they would not last all that long before they start peeling. I even found https://www.ebay.com/itm/Steering-Wheel-Button-Switch-Trim-Cover-For-Benz-C117-W176-W246-W204-W212-W218/282867669273 but my steering wheel's center trim is different than the E-bay one and the covers might not go with the wheel.
What do you think is the best option to get the switch looking factory again with the lease amount of work?
