COMMAND and steering column problem

It's been a while since I posted much but I noticed a few things on my car recently and thought I'd ask. First the steering column, the adjustment won't go up or down anymore just in and out, I hear it engage but it just won't move. I have the car set to convenience entrance, maybe it burned out but has anyone had this happen before? The other is my COMMAND, I have the upgraded version with larger screen, lately I found when I sometimes hit a significant bump or pot hole it shuts off and restarts, all features stop until it reboots. this is happening fairly frequently when I get to drive the car. could the COMMAND unit be going bad by any chance or maybe its software? I plan to take it to the dealer soon to have them look at it but would like some thoughts. I'm under extended warranty.

What was the outcome

Hi I know your post is old. But seeing as though I have a similar issue with my command shutting off while driving and ac shutting off same time I’m wondering what the fix was? Hoping it’s the same and a quick fix. Thanks

The column on my car did the same thing under warranty. They told me that the gears in the column had seized and needed to be replaced. No idea on cost, but I'm sure not cheep.
