TPMS Compatability across MBZ OEM Wheels

Does anyone know how compatible the Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS) are across OEM wheels? I have an opportunity to change my wheels & tires for a 2014 W204 OEM set of a different design. Being they're in same family (W204) and model year (2014) I am hoping the sensors will be fully compatible and I can just bolt on the new wheels and the sensors will communicate right away with the car's electronics.

The presence of these pressure sensors and potential for incompatibilities/reprogramming introduces a bit a of nuisance into the idea of switching wheels when you come across a set like I have with good tires in place, balanced, etc. It would be costly and annoying if I had to have the tires taken off to swap or futz with the sensors. My goal is to sell my old wheels/tires as a set that someone can bolt on to their car too.
