Question Snow tires issue...

I have always run a staggered setup on my C300. I knew the previous owner who purchased the vehicle new and she ran staggered as well. 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear. I have 135k miles and have yet to have any issues with transfer case or differentials. I picked up 4 Blizzak's for a stupid cheap price but they are all 245/40/17. My question is: Am I going to run into issues now going from a staggered set-up to a non staggered...? The computer has always recognized the tires as being different sizes so I don't want to confuse the old girl....Any input would be appreciated!

If they are all the same size, you're fine, but I wonder if 245 is too wide in the front. I have no ideas about the latter. But yes, if it does fit and it doesn't rub, you're fine.

It's fine, luxury sizes aren't staggered

The electronics for drivetrain are calibrated for the staggered setup and while it may seem harmless long term its really not good depends on how forgiving our awd system is. I would buy the appropriate size front tires and have the knowledge I have a backup set of rears IMHO.

As you long as the tires circumfrances are the same on the same axle you are fine. For eample, what you don't want to do is run one larger diameter tire on the left side front and a different diameter tire on the right side front.
