how to remove the star housing in the front grill

Never mind I removed the grill and pried the two lugs with a flat head screw driver as I had read about earlier but when you never tried you don't know.
But why on earth can Mercedes make it so easy for the thieves to steal the star in the first place?
Why not make it with some kind of retainer on the housing and also a retainer on the housing that yo at least need to go behind the grill after removing the apron?

Cause people don't know it gets removed like that,
And those who steal only steel the hood ornaments. Apparently even the flat ones that the sport models have, despite the grill.
